Welcome to the Water Heater Mafia website. By accessing our site or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We take care of our neighbors, and these rules ensure we can keep providing the best service in Northern Nevada.

1. Scope of Service

Water Heater Mafia provides water heater installation, repair, and maintenance services along with small plumbing repairs and replacements. All service quotes provided via the website or text are estimates only and are subject to change upon a physical inspection of the unit and home plumbing system, unless 'Approved' by customer/homeowner.

2. Privacy & Confidentiality (The "Code of Silence")

Your privacy is our priority.

Confidentiality: We do not share invoices, receipts, contracts, or financial details with anyone other than the homeowner or the legally designated financially responsible party.
Data Use: Information collected on this site (names, addresses, phone numbers) is used solely for the purpose of providing service and will never be sold to "outsiders."

3. Appointments and Cancellations

Booking: A job is considered "booked" once you have spoken with our office. Any online bookings are not official without speaking with a member of our office staff.
Access: The homeowner or an authorized adult (18+) must be present to provide access to the property at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon by customer.
Cancellations: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations so we can get to our other neighbors in need.

4. Warranty and Liability

Workmanship: We stand by our work. We provide a 6-month warranty on labor.
Manufacturer Warranty: Warranty on the water heater unit itself is provided by the manufacturer (e.g., Rheem, Bradford White). Water Heater Mafia is not responsible for manufacturing defects but will assist in the warranty claim process.
Limitations: Water Heater Mafia is not liable for pre-existing code violations or structural issues discovered during installation.

5. Communication

By providing your phone number, you opt-in to receive service updates and automated reminders. Our primary communication for records and support is via text at 775-440-9898.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any disputes will be handled locally within Lyon County.

Invoicing & Payment Terms

1. Payment Timing

Due Upon Receipt: All invoices issued by Water Heater Mafia are due immediately upon completion of service unless otherwise specified in writing.
Late Payments: Invoices unpaid after 30 days from the service date may be subject to a late fee of the maximum amount permitted by Nevada law.

2. Authorized Payors & Privacy

Confidentiality: To protect our clients, invoices and financial receipts will only be issued to the homeowner or the designated financially responsible party.
Verification: We will not discuss balances or payment history with tenants, neighbors, or third parties without written authorization from the homeowner.

3. Forms of Payment

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, checks, ACH payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay for contactless payments.
Processing Fees: A convenience fee of 3% will be applied to all credit card transactions to cover processing costs.

4. Collections

In the event an account remains unpaid, Water Heater Mafia reserves the right to pursue all legal remedies, including the filing of a Mechanic’s Lien against the property as provided under Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS Chapter 108).
The customer shall be responsible for all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs.

5. Disputed Invoices

Any discrepancies or questions regarding an invoice must be reported to our office at 775-440-9898 within 7 business days of the invoice date. Failure to report a dispute within this window constitutes full acceptance of the charges.

6. Refund Policy

Service and labor charges are non-refundable once work has been performed. Equipment returns are subject to the manufacturer’s return policy and may involve a restocking fee.
